On June 30, the Environmental Protection Agency re-opened the atrazine reregistration process and is proposing additional mitigations to reduce potential exposure and risk to aquatic plant communities from atrazine via runoff from agricultural uses in field corn, sweet corn, sorghum and sugarcane. The EPA has requested additional public comment on these revisions. If you would like to submit comments about the role of atrazine in your cropping systems, you can submit them on the EPA website listed previously, or you can go to www.kscorn.com. Comments must be received by the EPA on or before September 6.
