K-State and the Northwest Kansas Crop Residue Alliance are once again hosting the Cover Your Acres Winter Conference for crop producers and consultants on Jan. 21 and 22, 2014.
Cover Your Acres is a meeting for new ideas and updates in crop production in northwest Kansas. This is a producer-driven conference program, with a partnership of K-State Research and Extension and the Northwest Kansas Crop Residue Alliance.
The conference focuses on the latest technology, methods, and conservation practices to improve crop production on the High Plains. It annually brings in more than 500 attendees from the surrounding area. This year it will feature university specialists and industry representatives discussing current topics in crop production, weed control, sprayer technology, and more. The same programs will be offered both days of the conference.
Registration will begin at 7:45 a.m., with educational sessions ending at 5:00 p.m. followed by a “bull session” where attendees can visit with industry and university specialists.
The conference will be held at the Gateway in Oberlin. Early registration is due by Jan. 15. The registration fee is $35 for Jan. 21 or $30 for Jan. 22. After Jan. 15, the cost is $50 per day. The conference fee includes refreshments and meals. CEU credits are available.
